Becker SWCD seeking public input in local water management planning process; meeting is April 12
Becker County residents all have a vested interest in clean water, and the Becker Soil and Water Conservation District wants to hear from you. Citizens interesting in identifying resource concerns, informing landuse decisions and establishing local goals for surface and groundwater protection are invited to provide input as we update the Becker County Comprehensive Local Water Management Plan.
The Water management planning process aims to protect water resources through the adoption and implementation of local plans based on local priorities. There are several different opportunities available for residents in Becker County to provide input to the plan. Interested citizens may:
- Go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/mywaterplan or visit www.co.becker.mn.us/dept/soil_water to complete an on-line public survey by April 15, 2016.
- Request a paper copy of the survey from the SWCD at (218) 846-7360
- Attend a public meeting Tuesday, April 12th from 1-3 PM in in the Commissioner’s room, 1st floor of the Becker County Courthouse 915 Lake Ave Detroit Lakes, MN
