Toxic Tators is teaching about the toxins used in agriculture
Toxic Tators, known for its work battling potato giant RD Offutt, is taking another approach.
The group is inviting people to come and learn about the alternatives to pesticide intensive agriculture.
The lesson will be at Larry Heitkamps farm at Yellow Rose Organic Farm in Sebeka Saturday, August 27 from 2-4 p.m.
Yellow Rose Organic Farm is a certified organic farm that produces potatoes, beef, eggs, and grain that is processed and marketed locally through Hugh's Gardens in Moorhead, Minnesota.
"We've been doing this tour for three years now with Larry and each year it just gets better." Said Toxic Taters coordinator, Amy Mondloch. "We're especially excited this year to have chef Brian Diumenti from Cragun's Resort in Brainerd joining us and working his magic to create a delicious potato tasting with the many varieties that come from Larry's farm."
The tour is free, where anyone can come take part in.
