Man gets prison after being caught in stolen car
Wesley James Warren, 37, of rural Mahnomen has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of receiving stolen property.
According to court records, on Aug. 27 he was a passenger in a stolen vehicle pulled over by a tribal police officer on County Road 34 near Richwood Road. Both the driver and Warren gave false names to the officer.
Warren appeared in court April 11 before District Judge Gretchen Thilmony, who sentenced him to 18 months in prison at St. Cloud. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine and $140 in court fees from his prison earnings. The right to file for restitution was reserved.
