Don't forget to spring ahead! Today (Sunday, March 10) is the day we set our clocks forward an hour. This yearly ritual teamed with next week's vernal equinox are sure signs that spring is right around the corner, even if it doesn't feel very spring-like outside right now.
There are signs of spring here at the library too. "Let's Talk Plants!" - a free spring gardening workshop - is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the library's main meeting room.
It's time to think spring - and here are a couple of the library's newer books on the topic to get you on your way.
"Crayola Spring Colors," by Jodie Shepherd.
Bright flowers, cute baby animals, fresh plants - colors are everywhere in spring! Explore color in the world around you. What colors make you think of spring? What can you create with the colors of spring? Encourage readers to notice color in the real world and create their own spring-inspired artwork through vibrant photos and lyrical text.
"The First Kiss of Spring: An Eternity Springs Novel," by Emily March.
Spring has come to Eternity Springs in The First Kiss of Spring, the newest installment in this New York Times bestselling series by Emily March. Goal-oriented and gorgeous, Caitlin Timberlake's dreams took her to the top of the corporate ladder in New York City. Now years later, her goals have changed. She wants to come home to Eternity Springs and build a business and a family of her own - with the new man in town.
