Paul was born June 15, 1925, in Fargo. He graduated from Central High School and North Dakota State University, the latter after serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked at North Dakota State Mill and Elevator before beginning a long career in the family business, John T. Jones Construction, as the estimator.

Paul was happiest spending time with his family and many lifelong friends, sharing adventures and laughs, whether on the golf course, ice rink, handball court or duck boat. He loved to dance, and was most annoying when winning at gin and bridge. His years at the family cabin on Lake Melissa were among his most joyful. Paul loved his family deeply, had a special place in his heart for his grandchil-dren, and a great ability to connect with the people around him. His smile, compassion and extraordi-nary sense of humor will be missed.

Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maura Jones; children, Thomas, Daniel (Julia), Matthew, Margaret (Jeff Risberg), Paula (Pete Johnson), and Patrick; eight grand-children; three great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Weskamp, Margaret (Dick Smith) and William "Mickey" (Patricia).

Preceding him in death were his parents, John B. and Mae Jones; and brother, John T. "Casey" Jones.

The family deeply appreciates the staff at Bethany Homes and Hospice for their loving care of Paul.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Paul's life at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, in the Plains Art Museum, 704 First Ave. N., Fargo. Inurnment will follow the luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials include: Presentation Sisters Retirement Fund, ARC of Cass County and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Arrangements were made through Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family are free to sign the online guest book at www.hansonrunsvold.com.
