Staples man hurt in two-vehicle crash in Henning
A Staples man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Henning.
Joseph Maurice Nanik, 55, of Staples suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.
He was a passenger in a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup truck driven by Timothy Joel Voeltz, 56, of Staples, who suffered no apparent injuries.
According to the State Patrol, the Chevrolet was travelling southwest on Highway 210 in Henning. A 2018 Ford Fusion was travelling north on Otter Tail County Road 65. The Ford drove across the highway, striking the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Ford, Richard Elmer Dow, 58, of Perham suffered no apparent injuries, according to the State Patrol. No alcohol was involved. All three men were wearing seatbelts. The airbag deployed in the Fusion but not in the pickup truck.
The crash was reported shortly after noon on dry pavement.
