A Detroit Lakes woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash today (Thursday) on Highway 10 in Lake Park.
Nicole Lynn Steinmetz, 43, of Detroit Lakes suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the second vehicle, Jaden Scott Dawson, 17, of Detroit Lakes, was not injured.
The accident occurred when a westbound 2015 Ford Fusion SE driven by Steinmetz was stopped at red light.
A 2005 GMC Yukon driven by Dawson was braking for the traffic light and hit ice, causing it to rear-end the Ford Fusion.
The crash was reported at 8:17 a.m. Thursday on snowy-icy roads at Highway 10 and Second Street in Lake Park. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. No airbags went off. No alcohol was involved. The Becker County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
