Man fatally struck by train in downtown Fargo

A person was reportedly hit by a train Thursday night on the corner of Broadway and Sixth Avenue North.

FARGO — A man is dead after being hit by a train in downtown Fargo late Thursday, May 16.

A train-pedestrian crash was reported at 10:51 p.m. near Sixth Avenue and North Broadway, according to Fargo police. Police later found a man's body and confirmed he had been killed in the crash.

Just after 11 p.m. a number of emergency responders and crews from the BNSF Railway were on the scene. Police could be seen walking along the railroad tracks with flashlights.
