Two Perham residents were injured after their vehicle lost control on Highway 10 Monday morning, Nov. 4, and went into the ditch in Audubon Township.

Both the driver, William Florian Bucholz, 78, and a passenger, Sherill Kay Bucholz, 77, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, according to the State Patrol.

They were westbound in a 2004 GMC Envoy, with snow and ice on the roadway, and lost control while merging from the left to the right lane. The GMC ended up in the north ditch. The airbag did not deploy, but both were wearing seatbelts. No alcohol was involved.

The crash was reported at 7:44 a.m. Monday. The Lake Park Fire Department assisted at the scene.
