A Frazee man was injured in a pickup-buggy collision Jan. 16 on Highway 87.
Samuel C. Schmucker, 22, of Frazee was taken to Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the state patrol.
Schmucker was driving a horse-drawn buggy eastward on Highway 87, at County Road 33, when it was rear-ended by a 2017 Ford F350 pickup truck, according to the state patrol.
The driver of the pickup, Justin James Aschnewitz, 41, of Frazee was not injured, according to the state patrol. He was wearing a seat belt and airbags deployed in the pickup truck.
Also involved was a 2002 Buick Century, which went into the ditch to avoid the accident. The Buick driver, Joseph Adam Siltala, 52, of Fargo, was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt. Airbags did not deploy.
The crash was reported at 2:35 p.m. in snowy and icy road conditions in Silver Leaf Township. The Becker County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
