A woman was injured in a rollover accident near Waubun early Sunday morning, May 17.
Karin Marie Simonthompson, 63, of Twin Valley was taken to the hospital in Ada with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was wearing a seatbelt and the airbags deployed.
She was driving a 2013 Ford Escape eastbound on Highway 113, near 460th Street, when it left the road to the left, became airborne and hit the ground. The vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to a stop. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
The crash was reported at 2:16 a.m. on dry pavement near Waubun in Flom Township, Norman County. Norman County EMS assisted at the scene.
