One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 10 in Hawley on Monday.
Connie Lee Dewald, 73, of Hawley, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sanford Health, according to the State Patrol.
She was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle eastbound on Highway 10, and was struck from behind while slowing for a traffic signal.
The Beetle was hit by a 2017 Chevy Volt driven by Donald Victor Tollefson, 51, of Audubon, who was not injured, according to the State Patrol.
The Volkswagen was propelled into a 2019 Ford Fusion driven by Madison Leigh Rost, 22, of Sioux Falls, S.D., that was also stopped for the traffic signal. She was not injured, according to the State Patrol. All vehicles came to rest in the lane of traffic at the light.
All three drivers were wearing seatbelts. Airbags deployed in the Volt but not the other two vehicles.
The crash was reported at 6:49 p.m. on dry pavement at 10th street in Hawley.
The Hawley Fire Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, Hawley Police Department, and EMS assisted the State Patrol.
