An Aitkin man was seriously hurt Wednesday when his pickup truck collided with a semi on Highway 59 in Mahnomen.
Torrey Robert Winger, 45, was taken to a Fargo hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The Kenworth Semi was northbound on highway 59, while the Chevy pickup was southbound on Highway 59. The vehicles collided near East Jefferson Avenue in the city of Mahnomen.
The driver of the 2019 Kenworth semi, Rodney Lynn Olson, 65, of Hendrum, was not injured, according to the State Patrol.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and the airbag deployed in the 2000 Chevy Silverado.
The crash was reported at 6:21 p.m. on dry pavement. White Earth police, Mahnomen County deputies, Mahnomen firefighters, Waubun firefighters, Mahnomen EMS, and Sanford AirMed all assisted the State Patrol.
