M State's Business & Entrepreneurial Services presents a Premiere Speaker Series event on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 9-10:30 a.m. in the conference center on the campus of M State, Detroit Lakes.
Angel Investing - How it Works & Who is Doing It! will be presented by Jim Buus from GOLDMARK Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services. The cost is only $10 and pre registration is required for this event.
Jim Buus is currently part owner and managing broker of Fargo-based Goldmark Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services. He joined Goldmark in 1996 after spending five years with the Fargo Chamber of Commerce where he served as manager of public affairs and business development.
He is also the chairman of FM Angel Investment Fund, LLC, a member of the Rain Source Capital Network and an active "Angel Investor" and real estate developer with ownership interests in a variety of emerging companies and commercial property holdings.
In addition to the presentation, there will be a panel discussion with Angel Investor organizations from this region including Tom Kenville, Valley Angels, Grand Forks; Michelle Landsverk, Fosston, and Cindy Beck, Wahpeton, ND.
