The West Central Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership is seeking applications for the 2013 Transportation Enhancement Program, which has approximately $600,000 available for eligible projects in Mahnomen, Clay, Becker, Wilkin, Otter Tail, Grant, Douglas, Stevens, Traverse, Pope, Big Stone and Swift counties. Projects require a 20 percent cash match.

Eligible transportation enhancement projects are:

n City of Ottertail bike trail (funded 2012) = $189,750

n Moorhead pedestrian underpass at 20th Street and 40th Avenue (funded 2012) = $310,250

n Villard bike trail to Villard city beach (funded 2012) = $100,000

n Lake LeHomme Dieu bike path (funded 2011) = $192,300

n Otter Tail County Highway 1 bike trail (funded 2011) = $144,300

n Highway 10 aesthetic and beautification improvements (funded 2011) = $260,500

n Phelps Mill bridge restoration (funded 2010) = $273,600

n Pelican Rapids River Park and Pathway (funded 2010) = $125,000

n Benson Northside Trail extension (funded 2010) = $167,200

n Fergus Falls bike path from downtown to Central Lakes Trail (funded 2009) = $158,000

n Moorhead pedestrian underpass at Highway 75 and 40th Avenue (funded 2009) = $439,000

A Transportation Enhancement Workshop is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at West Central Initiative, 1000 Western Ave., Fergus Falls. For directions, visit www.wcif.org . The workshop will provide answers to eligibility questions and representatives will be available to assist in completing application forms.
