The Detroit Lakes Area League of Women Voters and the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce will co-host a full evening Tuesday of candidate forums at the Becker County Courthouse beginning at 6:30 p.m. The complete rundown of forums and confirmed candidates is:
- 6:30-7: Auditor/Treasurer candidates Darin Halvorson and Mary Hendrickson
- 7:15-7:45: Recorder candidates Patty Swenson and Karen Wenner
- 8-8:15: County Attorney candidate Gretchen Thilmony (unopposed)
- 8:15-9:10: Sheriff candidates Todd Glander and Tim Clements
- 9:15-10: House District 2B candidates Steve Green and David Sobieski
- House District 4B candidate Paul Marquart (his opponent Jared LaDuke has not responded at this time)
These events are free and open to the public. Please use the main entrance. Doors will open at 6:15, with coffee and cookies being served.
