DULUTH - Noah and Karley Mechley continue to improve in their recovery from carbon monoxide poisoning and should be out of the hospital later this week, relatives said Monday.
Meanwhile, an account has been set up at North Shore Bank to accept donations for Noah, 14, and Karley, 15, who lost their sister and father last week to the toxic gas.
“They seem to be getting better every day and we’re hoping they will be out of the hospital by about Wednesday,” said Renee Cozzi, the children’s aunt. The teens are being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Donation checks can be made out to Karley Mechley, Noah Mechley or the Mechley children c/o North Shore Bank, 4013 Woodland Ave., Suite B, Duluth, MN 55803.
Cozzi said a benefit dinner also is planned for the family but details have not yet been finalized.
