Cass County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Tom Burch reported Thursday that a 17-year-old Cass Lake girl suffered stab wounds in an altercation shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim was treated at Cass Lake Hospital and airlifted to a Fargo, N.D., area hospital.
Officers from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Leech Lake Tribal Police and Pike Bay Police Department responded to the scene.
Burch reported that the incident remains under investigation.
