Another community meeting to discuss facility improvements and space needs at Detroit Lakes Public Schools has been called for 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, Dec. 18 in the high school’s multi-purpose gymnasium.

At that meeting, DL School Board members will discuss where they are at with each of the remaining proposals for construction and/or renovations to existing school facilities.

Those options include additions and renovations at all current school facilities (tentative price tag, $50 million); building an entirely new high school on a 40-acre site owned by the district on Tower Road ($75 million); or building an addition to the current high school to move the middle school students over to that campus ($60 million).
