The Becker County Republican Party has rescheduled its party convention due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The convention will be April 18 at Spitfire Bar and Grill in Detroit Lakes. The event previously was scheduled for Saturday, March 21, according to a news release.
The District 7 convention, meanwhile has been delayed to May 1 and 2 in Willmar.
"Obviously these dates may not work either, as convening will be subject to the status of the coronavirus in the U.S.," Becker County Republican Chairman Rick Anderson said in the release.
Meanwhile, the Becker County Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party is taking a wait-and-see approach to canceling its upcoming events, according to a Friday, March 13, post on Facebook.
