A felony charge of receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor theft charge were dismissed against Lawrence Lewis Larson Jr., 40, of White Earth in Becker County District Court because he is deceased.
According to court records, on Dec. 30 in Detroit Lakes, Larson was accused of being in possession of a car that had been stolen in Fargo, N.D., and of shoplifting a small amount of items from Walmart.
Larson died at his home Feb. 29. The charges were dismissed March 3.
