Perham man charged with meth possession
Ruben Gonzales Jr., 29, of Perham has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on Jan. 20 Frazee police were called to the All in All convenience store on a complaint that a man was "tweaking out" and making other customers uncomfortable.
The responding officer allegedly found Gonzales constantly moving his hands, feet and head, talking fast and mumbling his words. He allegedly admitted he had used meth two days ago and was on probation for drug use. He was arrested and taken to jail, where a microbaggie containing about a third of a gram of meth was allegedly found in his wallet.
Gonzales appeared Jan. 23 before District Judge Waldemar Senyk, who set bail at $500 or bond at $5,000, with conditions, or bond at $10,000 without standard conditions of release.
