Woman accused of leading police on wild high-speed chase
Anastasia Leigh Laducer, 24, of Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
According to court records, about 7 p.m. on Dec. 20, a deputy saw a vehicle, allegedly driven by Laducer, driving erratically on County Road 21 (Richwood Road). When he tried to pull the car over, the car sped up to 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and went through Richwood at 50 mph. Once on County Road 34, the car sped up to 90 mph, and the chase only ended after three PIT maneuver to try to force the vehicle off the road.
During the 20-mile pursuit, the vehicle allegedly went through two stop signs and drove on the wrong side of the road, among other infractions. Laducer was wanted on a warrant at the time, as was a woman in the back seat.
Laducer appeared in court Dec. 24 before District Judge Jay Carlson, who set cash bail at $1,000 or bond at $10,000, with standard conditions, or bond at $20,000 without any conditions for release.
