Rural Audubon man charged with criminal sexual conduct
James Marlan Ramsey, 55, of rural Audubon has been charged in Becker County District Court with two counts of felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to court records, on Jan. 24, a Becker County sheriff's investigator received a report of a sexual assault in Becker County. The victim, who is still a juvenile, said Ramsey had touched her sexually below the waist when she was 10 or 11. Another girl allegedly witnessed the incident. The complaint alleges that there were many instances of same and similar acts by Ramsey over the years.
On Feb. 11, Ramsey appeared before District Judge Gretchen Thilmony, who set cash bail at $10,000 or bond at $100,000, with standard conditions, or bond at $250,000 without any conditions for release.
