Gordon Mikeal Overbo, 38, of rural Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on Aug. 3 a state trooper saw Overbo driving with expired license plate tabs on Highway 34 in Becker County. Overbo was pulled over and, according to court records, the trooper allegedly saw a one-hitter used for smoking marijuana and other items associated with drug use.
Overbo’s driver’s license was revoked at the time. According to court records, a search of the vehicle turned up 0.70 grams of meth and Overbo allegedly admitted the meth was his. He was arrested and taken to jail.
On Aug. 5, an order for detention was signed by District Judge Jay Carlson.
