DL man sentenced for selling meth
Jeremy William Kohler, 45, of Detroit Lakes has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony second-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on Oct. 11, 2017, he was involved in the sale of 1.84 grams of meth (with packaging) to a confidential reliable informant with the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
Kohler appeared in court April 17 before District Judge Jay Carlson, who sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with credit for four days served. Work release privileges were granted, per jail policy. He was fined $1,000, plus $1,165 in court fees, and was ordered to get a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations. He was placed on supervised probation for 15 years.
