At 10:36 a.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of a theft on the 200 block of Stone Creek Drive. The caller reported a missing package, and a neighbor found the package, open and empty, near the property.

At 11:15 a.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of a theft on the 100 block of Meadow Lane. The caller reported that laundry machines had been tampered with and a package was missing from the property.

At 2:29 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft on County Road 34, near Norcross Lake Road, in Ogema. The caller reported seeing an individual who was suspected of taking part in the theft of lottery tickets.

At 2:44 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on Tageto Road, near Big Sugar Bush Lake, in Ogema. The caller reported their cabin had been broken into and food and liquor had been taken.

Saturday Oct. 3

At 1:31 a.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of property damage on County Road 56, near Blauert Road, in Frazee. The caller reported their front door had been kicked in and spray paint was used to vandalize the property.

At 10:59 a.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire at Stony Road and North Tower Road, in Detroit Lakes. The caller reported a pile of leaves was burning at the city's yard waste compost site. The incident caused the site to be closed for the weekend.

At 4:37 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a drug overdose on Pow Wow Highway, near Fish Creek, in Ponsford. One dose of Narcan was administered by a third-party private citizen, and the victim declined medical transport. The incident is under investigation by White Earth Police.

Sunday Oct. 4

At 12 a.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary-in-progress on Highway 34, near County Road 39, near Osage. Becker County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and one arrest was made.

At 10:02 a.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on the 31000 block of Two Inlets Drive. The caller reported a garage had been broken into on the property and a black tool box, full of tools, was missing, along with a battery charger.

At 12:41 p.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of a theft at CVS Pharmacy. The caller reported a suspect attempted to use a stolen credit card at the store, then fled the scene. Police have opened an investigation into the matter.

At 4:01 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on the 43000 block of 218th Street, near Toad Lake. The caller reported their house had been broken into and four boxes of mixed shotgun shells were missing.

At 10:15 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault on the 26000 block of Rattlesnake Circle in Waubun. White Earth Police said a male suspect showed up at the residence and assaulted one of the tenants. No arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation by the White Earth Police Department.

Monday Oct. 5

At 6:37 a.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of property damage on the 300 block of Park Lake Boulevard. The caller reported glass broken on the entrance door at Edgewater Condominiums.

At 9:42 a.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of a theft on the 1000 block of West Lake Drive. The caller reported missing political yard signs.

At 1:37 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on Washington Drive, near Highway 34, in Osage. The caller reported a door was damaged on their residence, but suspects did not gain entry. The caller also reported minor damage to the door handle.

At 1:56 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft at the Sinclair convenience store in Frazee. The caller reported the driver drove off without paying for gas. The caller relayed the plate number to police. The vehicle was reported stolen.

At 2:15 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lawn tractor on fire on County Road 11, near Haldorson Drive, in Audubon. The fire was put out as responders arrived at the scene.

At 2:46 p.m., the Detroit Lakes Police Department received a report of a fire on the 1000 block of South Washington Avenue. The caller reported a lithium battery filled a room with smoke. No fire was discovered.

At 3:05 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of vandalism on County Road 56, near Blauert Road, in Frazee. The caller reported vandalism to the residence and relayed to police that they had taken photos and video of the incident. An investigation has been opened into the case.

At 6:29 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of a Biden/Harris political yard sign on 130th Street, near Carow Circle, in Frazee.
