The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday Nov. 3
At 7:24 a.m., on the 39000 block of North Elbow Lake Road, Waubun, a vehicle was on fire in a driveway. White Earth firefighters extinguished the car fire.
At 7:27 a.m., on the 300 block of West Maple Avenue, Frazee, a white 1998 three-quarter ton longbox Dodge pickup truck was stolen. New tires, left outside, were also stolen.
At 5:13 p.m., on the 1200 block of Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a TV and other items were stolen from a residence.
At 9:18 p.m., on the 40000 block of 160th Street, Frazee, an older camper was on fire in a field where it was being stored. The camper was a total loss.
Wednesday Nov. 4
At 8:48 a.m., on the 6000 block of Second Street, Lake Park, a mailbox was struck and damaged.
At 2:40 p.m., on the 500 block of Richwood Road, Detroit Lakes, Republican candidate political yard signs were stolen. They may have been picked up as part of post-election clean-up by party-affiliated individuals after the election.
At 4:52 p.m., on the 900 block of Summit Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a ten-year-old child was hit and injured by a blue vehicle, which fled the scene. There were conflicting reports as to the make and model of the vehicle. The child required transport to a medical clinic. An investigation has been opened and is ongoing.
