The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Friday Nov. 6
At 2:27 a.m., on the 25000 block of Guyles Road, Ponsford, a caller reported her son was punched in the face, which caused his nose to bleed.
At 8:28 a.m., on the 35000 block of County Road 133, Ogema, a three-wheeled bike was reported missing.
At 9:20 a.m., on the 26000 block of Adams Road, Detroit Lakes, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
At 9:42 a.m., on the 400 block of West Lake Drive, Detroit Lakes, a purse was stolen and their credit card was used.
At 10:32 a.m., on the 13000 block of Birch Road, Lake Park, a resident’s lilac bushes were cut down.
At 11:07 a.m., at the intersection of County Road 13 and County Road 106, Audubon, a caller reported a fire and saw an individual fleeing the area in a vehicle. No vehicle make, or model, was given.
At 11:55 a.m., at the intersection of 220th Avenue and 280th Street, Callaway, a fire was reported in a ditch.
At 12:31 p.m., on the 21000 block of County Road 12, Detroit Lakes, burning prohibited materials without a permit was reported. The DNR will follow up on the incident.
At 1:06 p.m., on the 27000 block of 245th Avenue, Callaway, a fire was reported in a cat tail slough. The caller refused requests to attempt to put out the fire. The DNR will follow up on the incident.
Saturday Nov. 7
At 12:51 a.m., on the 20000 block of County Road 21, Detroit Lakes, three different vehicles were found with their tires slashed. The caller believes he knows who slashed the tires.
At 6:57 a.m., on the 500 block of South Shore Drive, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle hit a parked car. A minor injury was reported. No medical transport was required.
At 7:16 a.m., on the 47000 block of Pow Wow Highway, Pine Point, minor damage was reported to a concession stand door and a nearby garage door.
At 10:46 a.m., on the 200 block of 11th Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a package was taken from an entryway.
At 11:05 a.m., on the 300 block of Willow Street East, Detroit Lakes, a purse was taken from a vehicle.
At 2:42 p.m., on the 1500 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, five juveniles were banned from Walmart.
At 5:20 p.m., at mile-marker 275 on Highway 59, Callaway, a fire was reported near the woods. The fire began as a small brush fire.
At 6:19 p.m., on the 14000 block of Oak Ridge Road, Lake Park, a caller reported their dock had been set on fire. There is a suspect in the case..
At 7:07 p.m., on the 100 block of 2nd Street, Callaway, a wallet was stolen from a camper.
Sunday Nov. 8
At 8:25 a.m., on the 25000 block of Bear Clan Drive, Ogema, a caller reported the front door on a residence was kicked in. It's not known if any items are missing, because the owner of the home is in the hospital and unable to verify missing items.
At 12:12 p.m., at the intersection of County Road 35 and Stone Lane, Waubun, a grass fire spread to the woods. The caller believes the fire may have started from ash dumping.
At 2:12 p.m., on the 1200 block of 8th Street, Detroit Lakes, a caller reportedly the illicit selling of prescription drugs.
At 3:23 p.m., on the 34000 block of 336th Avenue, Ogema, a burn barrel fire got away from the person who started it.
At 3:29 p.m., on the 31000 block of Park Road, Frazee, a shed and camper were broken into. A propane tank was among the missing items.
At 3:31 p.m., on the 54000 block of Highway 34, at the bait and tackle store in Osage, a gold container containing a white powder was discovered. Police seized the container as potential evidence.
At 4:22 p.m., on the 1700 block of East Shore Drive, Detroit Lakes, multiple power tools were stolen from a house under remodel.
At 9:08 p.m., on the 700 block of Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, a hunting bow and portable ice fishing hub were taken from a vehicle.
Monday Nov. 9
At 9:54 a.m., on the 500 block of Bowling Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a large stone planter’s pot was stolen.
At 10:24 a.m., on the 17000 block of Haugen Beach Road, Audubon, a shed was burglarized. It is unknown if any items are missing due to the owner being out-of-state.
At 7:55 p.m., at the intersection of Highway 34 and Mill Avenue, Osage, a semi-truck struck a power pole. Power was restored and the pole was replaced.
