The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday Nov. 10
At 11:13 a.m., on the 58000 block of Frazier Avenue, Park Rapids, a vehicle was on fire in front of a residence. Owner believes it was caused by mechanical failure.
At 1:45 p.m., on the 800 block of West Lake Drive, Detroit Lakes, the office of the laundromat was broken into. Money and various items were reported missing.
At 2:59 p.m., on the 800 block of 8th Street SE, Detroit Lakes, staff at Compassion House found a clear plastic bag with a powdery substance inside. The bag, and its contents, were destroyed.
At 6:55 p.m., on the 2000 block of 2nd Street, Lake Park, a purse was stolen from a vehicle at the Dollar General. $315, a social security card, and checkbook were reported missing.
Wednesday Nov. 11
At 1:06 a.m., on the 35000 block of Mission Road, Ogema, a woman gave a man a ride in her vehicle. At the end of the ride, the man pulled a knife and stole the woman’s purse.
At 2:28 a.m., on the 28000 block of 465th Avenue, Ponsford, a house fire was reported. All occupants of the residence evacuated safely.
