The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, Dec. 23

At 12:35 p.m., on the 25000 block of Bear Clan Drive, Ogema, a 1999 black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was stolen.

Thursday, Dec. 24

At 9:01 a.m., on the 18000 block of County Road 25, Detroit Lakes, the caller’s mailbox and the neighbor’s mailbox were damaged. They believed the damage was caused by a vehicle.

At 1:35 p.m., on the 14000 block of Victory Lane, Lake Park, garage broken into; nothing was reported missing.

At 4:11 p.m., on the 200 block of 11th Avenue, Detroit Lakes, packages and mail damaged.

At 11:51 p.m., on the 1300 block of Madison Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a caller trying to book an Amtrak ticket gave his debit card information to a fraudulent website.

Friday, Dec. 25

At 9:05 a.m., on the 26000 block of 260th Street, Detroit Lakes, tools and gas cans were stolen from an unlocked shed and barn.

At 12:44 p.m., on the 31000 block of County Road 7, Lake Park, a single vehicle rollover accident occurred; no injuries.

At 6:13 p.m., on the 700 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, debit card was reported missing after leaving a restaurant.

At 7:29 p.m., on the 700 block of West Holmes Street, Detroit Lakes, a carbon monoxide detector went off. Residents were evacuated, house was “aired out.”

At 8:36 p.m., near County Road 21 and County Road 112, Waubun, Mahnomen police and White Earth police were involved in a vehicle pursuit; one arrest made.

Saturday, Dec. 26

At 5:50 p.m., on the 28000 block of Migizi Avenue, Ponsford, prescription medication was left in a vehicle with another party while the caller went into a different store. Upon returning to the vehicle, the prescription drugs and the other party were gone.

Sunday, Dec. 27

At 9:47 a.m., near Lake Park, a caller reported their snowmobile went through the lake ice on Dec. 22. No injuries were reported. Tri-state Diving was dispatched to remove the snowmobile from the water.

At 11:28 a.m., on the 800 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a curbside pickup staff thought they smelled marijuana emanating from a vehicle.

At 12:12 p.m., near the intersection of Highway 10 and Askleson Drive, Lake Park, a single vehicle rollover accident occurred. No injuries were reported.

At 6:58 p.m., on the 29000 block of Tower Road, Detroit Lakes, an ATV and UTV crash occurred. One person taken to a clinic.

Monday, Dec. 28

At 10:54 a.m., on the 19000 block of Audubon Lake Road, Audubon, a fake Instagram profile was set up using a juvenile male’s photos and information without authorization. The fake profile began receiving photos of underage females.

At 4:05 p.m., on the 400 block of 2nd Street, Ogema, a caller was giving another party a ride. Once they reached the destination, the other party fled the vehicle with the driver’s backpack.

At 4:24 p.m., on the 900 block of Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a personal check was forged by the caller’s ex.

At 6:07 p.m., on the 4000 block of 4th Street, Lake Park, a caller reported a person called them claiming to be their son who was in jail and needed $7,500 to post bail. The caller sent the money.
