The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

At 9:17 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 11:03 a.m., on the 11000 block of Highway 10, Lake Park, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle. The caller also reported their brake line was cut and other damage was reported to the vehicle.

At 3:24 p.m., on the 21000 block of County Road 29, Rochert, a vehicle went into the ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle’s airbags deployed. No injuries were reported.

At 4:58 p.m., near the Lake Maud area, southwest of Detroit Lakes, decoys and hunting equipment was stolen from a field.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

At 1:15 p.m., on the 14000 block of County Road 15, Detroit Lakes, a mailbox was damaged.

At 1:32 p.m., on the 1200 block of Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a package theft was reported.

At 1:51 p.m., on the 200 block of West Main Street, Frazee, a person in custody said another party used their Walmart card and unemployment card without authorization.

At 2:05 p.m., on the 28000 block of County Road 129. Ponsford, a caller reported being assaulted on Christmas morning.

At 2:31 p.m., near Main Street, Ogema, a soda bottle was thrown at a car causing minor damage.

At 3:49 p.m., on the 200 block of Stone Creek Drive, Detroit Lakes, a package theft was reported.

At 3:53 p.m., on the 900 block of Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a forged check was cashed at a bank; under investigation.

At 4:19 p.m., near the intersection of 270th Avenue and 130th Street, Lakeview Township, a snowmobile was found crashed into a tree and abandoned.

At 8:12 p.m., on the 2000 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, an Ice Castle fish house was stolen, and has since been recovered.

Thursday, Dec. 31

At 8:25 a.m., on the 15000 block of East Little Cormorant Road, Audubon, a credit card was hacked through the Walmart app, according to the caller, and the item was delivered to an address in Sacramento, Calif.

At 10:34 a.m., near the Detroit Lakes area, a caller reported unauthorized use of their account at Walmart, Midwest Bank and Holiday gas station.

At 12:33 p.m., on the 500 block of 1st Street, Audubon, unauthorized use of the caller’s Amazon account occurred.

At 1:22 p.m., at Diamond Willow Assisted Living at 1564 Randolph Road, Detroit Lakes, prescription drugs were missing from a resident.

At 4:03 p.m., near the intersection of Willow Street and Washington Avenue, a caller reported three teenagers riding ATVs were doing donuts around the roundabout.

At 4:47 p.m., near the intersection of Frazee Street and Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a two vehicle accident occurred. An airbag was deployed in the collision. No confirmed reports of injuries.

Saturday, Jan. 2

At 11:51 a.m., on the 900 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle hit a building and drove off. The driver claims she didn’t know she hit the building.

At 2:38 p.m., on the 30000 block of Pleasant View Road, Frazee, a house fire occurred. The house was a total loss.

At 2:52 p.m., on the 30000 block of 170th Street, Detroit Lakes, a single snowmobile accident occurred. The driver was taken to a nearby medical clinic by family members.

At 5:10 p.m., on Front Street, Detroit Lakes, vehicle license plates were stolen.

At 5:18 p.m., on the 100 block of 2nd Street, Frazee, a caller reported their Christmas lights were damaged.

At 7:43 p.m., on the 700 block of Bowling Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a fish house was burglarized from the caller’s property. Two underwater cameras were stolen.

Sunday, Jan. 3

At 2:13 a.m., near the area of County Road 34 and Net Lake, Ogema, a vehicle was driven into the ditch and abandoned by the driver.

Monday, Jan. 4

At 1:14 a.m., on the 28000 block of 387th Street, Waubun, a stolen vehicle was found in a roadside ditch.

At 12:34 p.m., on the 1300 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a caller alleged unlawful sexual contact. The case is under investigation.

At 5:06 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.
