The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Thursday, Jan. 7
At 10:09 a.m., near Cherry Lake Road, Ogema, property damage was reported at a public dumping site.
At 2:08 p.m., on the 200 block of 4th Street, Frazee, a fraudulent phone scam was reported. The caller said the scammers were calling from the Social Security office and they did not provide them any information.
At 2:58 p.m., on the 1200 block of Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a caller reported the smell of marijuana in an apartment hallway.
At 5:04 p.m., on the 200 block of Stone Creek Drive, Detroit Lakes, a fraudulent check was reported with an individual's information on it. The incident is under investigation.
Friday, Jan. 8
At 4:02 p.m., on Middle Cormorant Lake, Lake Park, a fish house was burglarized. Fishing poles and other assorted tools were taken.
At 5:12 p.m., on the 200 block of East Central Street, Detroit Lakes, an ambulance assist was requested for a potential drug overdose. The party was not transported to a medical clinic and no Narcan was needed.
At 9:33 p.m., on the 14000 block of 240th Street, Lake Park, mailbox damage was reported.
Saturday, Jan. 9
At 11:59 a.m., on the 1500 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a gas station reported many of their automotive items were stolen. The items were valued at more than $1,000.
At 12:17 p.m., on the 1300 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, drug paraphernalia was found. The caller believed it was left by a guest.
At 1:52 p.m., on Little Cormorant Lake, Lake Park, a fish house was burglarized. Assorted fishing and household items were taken.
At 10:39 p.m., on the 1100 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a parked vehicle suffered windshield damage.
Sunday, Jan. 10
At 11:03 a.m., on the 25000 block of Bear Clan Road, Ogema, a party reported an assault that occurred overnight; cellphone was taken.
At 4:44 p.m., on the 30000 block of Acorn Lake Road, Frazee, a vehicle was reported as on fire.
Monday, Jan. 11
At 11:32 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.
At 12:54 p.m., on the 34000 block of Hubble Pond Road, Rochert, an email scam requesting money was reported.
At 1:40 p.m., on the 200 block of Barbara Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a domestic assault was reported.
At 3:49 p.m., on the 200 block of 3rd Street, Audubon, a student loan forgiveness scam was reported.
At 7:38 p.m., on the 23000 block of West Foxview Lane, Detroit Lakes, a cabin fire was reported; heating lamps suspected.
