The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday, Feb. 9
At 8:24 a.m., on the 35000 block of Mission Road, Ogema, a baggy with a crystal substance was found near a rear entrance.
At 9:47 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.
At 10:15 a.m., on the 700 block of 5th Street, Audubon, a debit card was stolen. The caller said they say a charge had been made to Dominos Pizza.
At 10:30 a.m., on the 1300 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a debit card was stolen and used without authorization. An investigation is pending.
At 10:39 a.m., on the 32000 block of 370th Street, Ogema, prescription medication was stolen from a vehicle in a driveway.
At 1:06 p.m., on the 100 block of 3rd Street, Ogema, prescription medication was reported stolen.
At 3:09 p.m., on the 900 block of McKinley Avenue, Detroit Lakes, some fitness equipment was reported stolen.
At 4:54 p.m., on the 600 block of Andrews Avenue, Detroit Lakes, mail was reported stolen from a mailbox.
Wednesday, Feb. 10
At 3:29 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.
At 3:49 p.m., on the 200 block of Minnesota Avenue, Callaway, a suspect cashed two COVID-19 stimulus checks. Neither of the checks were endorsed to them.
At 4:55 p.m., on the 40000 block of Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, a possible gas leak was reported. The residents evacuated the house and waited for first responders.
At 6:35 p.m., on the 19000 block of 190th Avenue, Audubon, a caller discovered an unemployment claim had been made in their name without their knowledge.
