A Coon Rapids, Minn., man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Orton's Cenex Convenience Store in Audubon on May 25.

Alexander James Butcher, 26, turned himself in at the Becker County Sheriff's Office shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday, June 4, and is being held in the Becker County Jail pending court, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The robbery occurred just before 1 a.m., when a man passed a note to one of clerks demanding cash and stating that he had a firearm, according to the sheriff’s office. No firearm was brandished during the incident and the two clerks were unharmed. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. He arrived and left on foot, and a dog's tracking effort was unsuccessful.
