The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Thursday, Oct. 7

  • 7:32 a.m., 800 block east Central Street, Detroit Lakes, vehicle egged overnight.
  • 10:46 a.m., 100 block Meadow Lane, Detroit Lakes, a lock box was broken into and checks were stolen.
  • 11:35 a.m., at Detroit Lakes High School at 1301 Roosevelt Avenue, Detroit Lakes, mobile phone charging cord stolen. A suspect was identified via surveillance video and the cord was returned.
  • 11:46 a.m., 25000 block Brandy Lake Road, Detroit Lakes, property damage. A vehicle drove through the caller’s yard, which damaged a corner post and spread broken glass in the yard.
  • 5:09 p.m., 28000 block 471st Avenue, Ponsford, officer-involved pursuit. The driver, a 22-year-old man, abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The passenger, a 31-year-old woman, was detained at the scene. A K-9 unit was dispatched and the case is under investigation.
  • 9:01 p.m., 18000 block Deroxe Road, Audubon, multiple mailboxes damaged. The suspect vehicle, an older model, white, Chevy pickup, was not located.
  • 10:19 p.m., 21000 block 470th Avenue, Osage, medical. The caller reported her husband was heavily intoxicated and lying in the yard. A 69-year-old man was checked at the scene and refused transport to a nearby medical clinic.

Friday, Oct. 8

  • 11:26 a.m., 28000 block Migizi Avenue, Ponsford, overdose. A 32-year-old man responded to Narcan that was administered by first responders. The man declined further medical treatment.
  • 12:34 p.m., Lakeside Cemetery, Frazee, gravesite decorations reported missing.
  • 1:15 p.m., at White Earth Health Center at 40520 County Road 34, Ogema, a witness noticed an adult striking a child in the registration area. The incident is under investigation.
  • 1:52 p.m., 33000 block north Cotton Lake Road, Rochert, fatal medical. CPR was performed on an 83-year-old man, but he did not respond and died at the scene from the unknown medical issue.
  • 2:41 p.m., near County Road 1 and 175th Avenue, Lake Park, corn field reported as on fire.
  • 3:20 p.m., 35000 block County Road 21, Ogema, overdose. Two doses of Narcan were administered to the victim by a third-party before first responders arrived. The party left the scene and declined further treatment.
  • 5:07 p.m., near Detroit Lakes, a mandatory reporter notified police of an inappropriate video circulating among some student groups online.

Saturday, Oct. 9

  • 8:36 p.m., at the Quality Inn and Suites at 615 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, party involving juveniles. One arrest was made and multiple people were cited.

Sunday, Oct. 10

  • 3:06 a.m., at the Becker County Jail at 1428 Stony Road, Detroit Lakes, medical involving an inmate. A 25-year-old man with a 0.21 blood alcohol level was shaking uncontrollably. He was transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment and returned to the jail.
  • 10:51 a.m., 34000 block 336th Avenue, Ogema, stolen vehicle. A silver, 2009 Mazda 626 was stolen.
  • 4:36 p.m., 14000 block County Road 31, Frazee, multiple catalytic converters stolen. Also, a bow and arrow set and papers containing personally identifiable information were stolen.
  • 11:06 p.m., 400 block Grant Street, Detroit Lakes, single vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
