The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Monday, Nov. 22
8:20 a.m., near Becker County, drug related law enforcement operation.
8:27 a.m., 100 block east Main Avenue, Frazee, possible runaway. A 12-year-old boy was acting out and threatening to run away. He was detained and transported to a juvenile detention facility in Moorhead.
8:31 a.m., 35000 block County Road 21, Ogema, a White Earth water and sewer truck was vandalized. The gas tank was drilled into and gasoline was stolen. The incident is under investigation.
9:21 a.m., 15000 block Heille’s Ridge Road, Detroit Lakes, unit lock found cut at Munson Lake Storage. Tools, portable heaters and an event tent were stolen among other items.
9:49 a.m., near Audubon, gas pump drive-off.
10:02 a.m., near County Road 34 and County Road 21, Ogema, windows broken on equipment. A juvenile admitted to shooting a BB gun at the windows and was talked to by law enforcement.
1:15 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.
2:01 p.m., near 460th Street and 228th Street, Detroit Lakes, a semi-truck and trailer, fully loaded with hay, left the roadway and entered a roadside ditch. No injuries.
2:16 p.m., near County Road 6 and County Road 59, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
5:20 p.m., near County Road 40, Wolf Lake, house fire. The home was fully engulfed and “almost half gone” by the time first responders arrived. Unknown if the house was occupied at the time of the fire. The case is under investigation.
5:48 p.m., 14000 block County Road 39, Frazee, unknown medical. A 56-year-old man collapsed and became unresponsive. CPR was performed, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
7:31 p.m., at Menards at 1465 Menard Drive, Detroit Lakes, a small baggie with an unknown powder was found on the floor.
11:22 p.m., near County Road 149 and Highway 59, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries.
Tuesday, Nov. 23
6:42 a.m., 100 block Shorewood Drive, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries.
8:10 a.m., near Roosevelt Avenue and Richwood Drive, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
9:00 a.m., at Essentia St. Mary’s at 1027 Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, officers assisted with an uncooperative patient.
11:24 a.m., at Detroit Lakes Middle School at 500 11th Avenue, Detroit Lakes, two students were involved in a dispute. Their parents were contacted and the students were disciplined internally.
11:58 a.m., 600 block Vigen Lane, Lake Park, damage to the women’s restroom at Lake Park-Audubon High School. Suspects are being sought. The case is under investigation.
1:10 p.m., 100 block 2nd Street, Frazee, a gas line was hit. Minnesota Energy responded to the scene. The liquor store and event center were evacuated. The scene was secured and cleared for reentry.
3:08 p.m., Becker County, drug related law enforcement operation.
4:31 p.m., at the Callaway Post Office, mail theft reported.
4:37 p.m., near Highway 34 and County Road 6, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
5:32 p.m., 22000 block County Road 6, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries.
5:51 p.m., near County Road 6 and Buckhorn Road, Lake Park, vehicle reported in a roadside ditch.
8:33 p.m., 40000 block Little Toad Road, Frazee, property damage. A bullet hole was found in the window of a camper.
