The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Thursday, Dec. 17

At 8:58 a.m., on the 1400 block of Cormorant Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a propane tank was stolen.

At 9:27 a.m., on the 100 block of Minnesota Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a tail light was broken on a parked vehicle.

At 11:18 a.m., on the 22000 block of Northeast Pickerel Lake Road, Detroit Lakes, 327 gallons of heating oil spilled in a homeowner’s basement while filling a furnace. A pipe that wasn’t in place properly caused the spill. A HAZMAT team from Morris, Minn., to assist with the cleanup.

At 1:02 p.m., on the 100 block of Eagle Drive, Ogema, a caller reported an instance of voter fraud.

At 1:31 p.m., on the 100 block of South Lake Street, Frazee, a package of scratch-off lottery tickets was reported missing. The caller believes they were either stolen or delivered to the wrong location. The tickets have been voided.

At 4:43 p.m., on the 1100 block of Linden Lane, Detroit Lakes, during a move-out from a residence, it appears someone went into their residence and went through their belongings. Nothing appears to be missing.

Friday, Dec. 18

At 8:09 a.m., on the 500 block of Broadway Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a propane tank cover was damaged.

At 11:11 a.m., on the 1000 block of Bowling Avenue, Detroit Lakes, an attempted assault was reported.

At 1:27 p.m., on the 40000 block of County Road 34, Ogema, multiple household items were reported missing from a residence.

At 4:13 p.m., at Menards at 1465 Menard Drive, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

Saturday, Dec. 19

At 12:17 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

Sunday, Dec. 20

At 9:06 a.m., on the 3000 block of 3rd Street, Lake Park, an attempted burglar made entry to a residence using a bathroom window. Nothing was reported missing. One arrest was made.

At 9:34 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 2:44 p.m., on the 31000 block of Rock Rile Road, Rochert, SD cards were stolen from a mobile phone and camera.

At 6:40 p.m., on the 700 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a debit card was taken from a vehicle and used without authorization.

At 8:15 p.m., near Highway 87 and Balsam Avenue, Frazee, two vehicles crashed. One of the individuals involved reported arm pain after the accident. No medical transport was required.

Monday, Dec. 21

At 10:09 a.m., on the 100 block of East Main Avenue, Frazee, a vehicle driving along a building exterior hit an exterior air conditioning unit and drove off.

At 10:28 a.m., on the 23000 block of County Road 37, Detroit Lakes, a caller reported an online military romance scam.

At 10:35 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 12:22 p.m., at Bell Bank at 920 Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a check was forged, and cashed, at the bank. The case is being investigated.

At 2:54 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 3:22 p.m., on the 600 block of West Central Street, Detroit Lakes, an item bought online was never sent by the seller.

At 7:16 p.m., on the 31000 block of Libbe Lane, Park Rapids, a cabin under renovation was reported on fire. Flames were visible through the roof. No one was inside the cabin at the time of the fire.

At 7:50 p.m., on the 1200 block of Jackson Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a caller reported a drug odor. The officer dispatched couldn’t verify the odor.

At 11:38 p.m., near the intersection of County Road 42 and County Road 47, Osage, a single vehicle rollover accident occurred. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, Dec. 22

At 12:33 a.m., on the 1200 block of Jackson Avenue, Detroit Lakes, various items were stolen from a residence. The caller suspects a family member stole the items.

At 8:15 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 8:25 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 10:07 a.m., on the 600 block of Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a parked trailer was damaged in a parking lot. Some of the trailer’s electrical wires were clipped.

At 10:59 a.m., on the 21000 block of Brookridge lane, Detroit Lakes, a black Chevrolet pickup was driving recklessly. No damage reported.

At 11:14 a.m., at Lakes Shoe Repair at 922 South Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 1:27 p.m., on the 400 block of Balsam Avenue, Frazee, a male party struck the caller’s vehicle mirror with a stick causing damage to the mirror.

At 3:47 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 4:07 p.m., on the 26000 block of Beaver Trail, Ogema, a stolen personal check was cashed for $20.

At 5:40 p.m., on the 31000 block of County Road 7, Lake Park, a single vehicle rollover occurred. No injuries were reported.

At 7:04 p.m., on the 800 block of Central Avenue, Detroit Lakes, an apartment was broken into while the resident was away for an extended period. Various household items were missing.

At 8:33 p.m., on the 200 block of Heights Ridge Lane, Detroit Lakes, a possible overdose occurred. The victim was alert, but slumped over in a chair with prescription pills and drug paraphernalia in the vicinity. The victim was transported by EMS to a nearby medical clinic.
