The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Thursday, Nov. 12
At 8:38 p.m., at the Boys and Girls Club thrift store at 1305 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported. The business will review the surveillance video and update police at a later date.
Friday, Nov. 13
At 1:24 p.m., on the 30000 block of Highway 10, Frazee, a 1998 black Ford F150 with a green topper was stolen.
At 2:56 p.m., on the 400 block of Main Street East, Ogema, a wallet was stolen at the liquor store. Later that night, someone attempted to use the caller’s credit card.
Saturday, Nov. 14
At 9:25 a.m., on the 600 block of Bowling Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a family member took money out of the caller’s account without authorization.

At 2:20 p.m., on the 600 block of Highway 10 East, Detroit Lakes, a body was discovered in the Pelican River. The name of the deceased has not been released. An investigation was opened and is ongoing.
At 3:50 p.m., on the 1500 block of Highway 59, Detroit Lakes, a maintenance shed, a series of dwellings and other outbuildings were burglarized. Three TVs, various tools and a rechargeable leaf blower were reported missing among other items.
Sunday, Nov. 15
At 8:31 a.m., on the 47000 block of Mashkiki Street, Ponsford, a vehicle drove through a resident’s yard and hit an oak tree. The vehicle was abandoned.
At 1:20 p.m., on the 1200 block of 8th Street SE, Detroit Lakes, a trailer house was burglarized. Multiple items were reported missing.
At 8:48 p.m., at West Lake Laundry at 802 West Lake Drive, Detroit Lakes, money was reported as missing. An arrest has been made.
Monday, Nov. 16
At 9:55 a.m., on the 11000 block of County Road 43, Menahga, 200 business checks were reported as delivered, but were not received. The caller suspects they were stolen or placed in the wrong mailbox.
At 9:56 a.m., on the 26000 block of Beaver Trail, Ogema, 12 boxes of vinyl flooring were stolen.
At 10:47 a.m., on the 49000 block of County Road 44, Ponsford, a supply of lumber was stolen.

At 11:15 a.m., at the AmericInn Lodge and Suites at 777 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, towels were reported stolen from a hotel room.
At 2:59 p.m., on the 17000 block of 330th Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a wooden boiler was reported on fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze after about 25 minutes.
