Crime and fire report: Ogema resident burglarized again over Thanksgiving weekend

The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

At 8:07 a.m., on the 31000 block of Valley View Road, Frazee, a lock was broken to a camper. Nothing was reported missing.

At 4:14 p.m., on the 49000 block of Pow Wow Highway, Ponsford, a caller reported being slapped.

At 5:09 p.m., on the 18000 block of County Road 25, Detroit Lakes, a garage was burglarized. Oakley sunglasses and assorted tools reported missing.

Thursday, Nov. 26

At 2:43 a.m., near the intersection of Mission Road and Cherry Lake Road, White Earth, a single-vehicle rollover accident was reported. No one was at the accident site.

At 5:43 a.m., on the 29000 block of 374th Street, Ogema, a black trailer with a fold-up ramp was stolen.

At 7:30 p.m., on the 900 block of Audubon Street, Lake Park, an injury occurred during a knife incident with two juveniles.

Friday, Nov. 27

At 8:33 a.m., on the 25000 block of 260th Street, Callaway, a red, 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara was stolen from a garage. The caller reported the keys were inside the vehicle.

At 2:19 p.m., near the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 36, Frazee, a vehicle drove through a ditch and into a cornfield; $400 in estimated damage was done to the field.

At 5:12 p.m., on the 34000 block of Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle struck a tree. No one was at the accident site.

Saturday, Nov. 28

At 9:56 a.m., on the 26000 block of Cherry Lake Road, Ogema, a single-vehicle rollover accident was reported. No individuals were present at the accident site.

At 10:01 a.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, a shoplifter was reported.

At 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of Beaver Trail and Gull Road, Ogema, a caller, who reported a previous trailer burglary, reported upon returning from Thanksgiving holiday, anything not previously burglarized was stolen.

At 3:57 p.m., on the 36000 block of Mission Road, Ogema, a caller reported unauthorized use of their credit card and other financial accounts.

Sunday, Nov. 29

At 9:06 a.m., on the 1200 block of Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a front license plate was reported missing.

At 4:16 p.m., on the 100 block of Meadow Lane, Detroit Lakes, Airsoft equipment was stolen from a vehicle.

At 9:09 p.m., on the 25000 block of Bear Clan Drive, Ogema, a smoking furnace was reported. Firefighters recommended repairing, or replacing, the old furnace.

Monday Nov. 30

At 8:04 a.m., on the 300 block of Elm Street West, Detroit Lakes, an owner noticed their vehicle had been “gone through” but unsure if anything is missing.

At 10:54 a.m., on the 1100 block of Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, two small dents were discovered on a parked vehicle.

At 12:02 p.m., near the intersection of Mary Yellowhead Road and Yellowhead Trail, Ogema, damage was done to a hunting property.
