The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.

Monday, June 28

• 5:03 a.m., 27000 block 485th Avenue, Ponsford, house fire caused by a potential lightning strike. Fire extinguished by Carsonville and Wolf Lake firefighters. No injuries reported.
• 7:46 a.m., near 11th Street and 11th Avenue, Detroit Lakes, gas leak. A gas line was struck. The line was secured by utility workers and the intersection was cleared to resume use.
• 8:56 a.m., 36000 block County Road 21, Ogema, catalytic converters stolen from two vehicles.
• 9:27 a.m., 43000 block 218th Street, Osage, raw sewage being dumped into Toad Lake. A Minnesota duty officer saw the incident occur at the Northern Inn campgrounds. The case is under investigation.
• 10:24 a.m., near Long Lake Park, Detroit Lakes, illegal dumping in park waste receptacles.
• 12:01 p.m., at Central Floral at 310 East Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.
• 2:30 p.m., 2000 block 2nd Street, Lake Park, a black lives matter yard sign stolen from a residence.
• 4:11 p.m., 3000 block 3rd Street, Lake Park, possible criminal sexual conduct. The case is under investigation.
• 4:27 p.m., 600 block Holmes Street, Detroit Lakes, juvenile male runaway.
• 4:56 p.m., at the Becker County Jail at 1428 Stony Road, Detroit Lakes, rocks of methamphetamine were found in a jail cell. Officers are unsure which inmate smuggled the drugs into the jail.
• 5:02 p.m., 300 block Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, gift card scam.
• 5:17 p.m., 1300 block Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, check fraud.
• 10:31 p.m., 36000 block County Road 21, Ogema, grass fire. Extinguished.
• 11:04 p.m., 100 block South Lake Street, Frazee, shoplifting.

Tuesday, June 29

• 2:21 a.m., 46000 block Native LP, Ponsford, physical domestic. A female party suffered facial injuries after an altercation with another party and was transported to a nearby medical clinic. She declined to give a formal statement. No arrests made.
• 3:57 a.m., 400 block Main Avenue, Callaway, syringe and baggy with white powder found.
• 10:45 a.m., 800 block West Avenue, Detroit Lakes, three juveniles were charged with trespassing.
• 10:21 p.m., near mile marker 53 on Highway 34, Becker County, two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Wednesday, June 30

• 3:46 a.m., 100 block West Maple Avenue, Frazee, assault. One party assaulted another party causing bleeding from the head. The suspect fled the scene. The victim refused medical treatment and did not give a statement to law enforcement.
• 8:01 a.m., near County Road 143 and Two Island Lake, Callaway, single vehicle crash. Vehicle on its side. The driver fled the scene of the crash because they were drinking, witnesses said. Four transported to a nearby medical clinic with minor injuries. No arrest made.
• 10:51 a.m., near Frazee Street and Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. A 53-year-old Florida woman was transported to a nearby medical clinic with minor injuries. The driver was cited in the incident.
• 11:20 a.m., 1300 block Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, gasoline was leaked into a storm drain.
• 11:25 a.m., 24000 block 310th Street, Callaway, bank account emptied and mobile phone smashed by another party while the owner was in jail.
• 2:06 p.m., 100 block East Main Avenue, Frazee, illegal dumping.
• 3:12 p.m., 900 block 8th Street, Detroit Lakes, mailbox damage.
• 4:33 p.m., 2000 block 2nd Street, Lake Park, air fryer fire in a residential kitchen. Firefighters disposed of the appliance.
• 9:16 p.m., 30000 block Tageto Road, Ogema, burglary. Caller has video of a small group of individuals breaking into their cabin. Officers could not locate the burglars. The video will be turned over to law enforcement.
• 10:01 p.m., at Walmart at 1583 Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.
• 10:02 p.m., 36000 block Lynx Lane, Ogema, propane smell.
• 10:20 p.m., 1200 block Loring Avenue, Detroit Lakes, domestic assault. No medical attention needed. Case was referred to the Becker County prosecutor for potential charges.
• 11:36 p.m., 300 block 4th Street, Audubon, two vehicle collision. Both drivers abandoned their vehicles at the scene.
