Producers have one final step to complete this year to participate in the 2014 and 2015 Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage (ARCPLC) farm program.
A contract, form CCC-861, will need to be signed for each farm and year to be eligible for benefits if a payment is determined to be paid.
Producers that are farming new land in either 2014 or 2015 will need to provide a written lease agreement or have the landlord sign the applicable contract.
Enrollment in ARCPLC has been busy in recent weeks, but we still have 50 percent to go. You cannot believe how often the staff has heard “I thought I already signed up for that,” when in reality the producer had not.
Please call ahead and there will have the contracts ready for your signature. The deadline to enroll in ARCPLC is Sept. 30.
