A Detroit Lakes man made his first appearance Tuesday in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of illegal voting.
Timothy John Erickson, 23, of 719 Richwood Rd., Apt. 11, Detroit Lakes is accused of voting in the Nov. 4, 2008 state election in Detroit Township, despite being on probation for a felony drug possession charge, which made him ineligible to vote under state law.
Erickson was released on his own recognizance Tuesday, pending his next court appearance at a Nov. 18 Rule 8 hearing, before Judge Joseph Evans.
