A Detroit Lakes man made his first appearance in Becker County District Court on a felony charge Monday.
District Judge Thomas Schroeder set bond at $10,000 against Daniel Hoard, 19, of 22692 State Highway 34. His next court appearance is April 3.
Hoard is charged with third-degree burglary. Hoard and a 16-year-old boy allegedly tried to break into a Detroit Lakes pawn shop to steal items on March 19.
The burglary was interrupted when an alarm was triggered.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
