A Detroit Lakes man made his first appearance Wednesday in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of terroristic threats.
Andrew Wayne Pollock, 40, of 20450 County Road 21, Lot 15, Detroit Lakes, is accused of making threats to harm himself and others in an Oct. 28 incident at the Kountry Manor mobile home park in rural Detroit Lakes.
According to the complaint filed on Oct. 30, a woman contacted the Becker County Sheriff's Department on Oct. 28 to report that Pollock had told her he was planning to drive his Suburban into the county courthouse and "take himself and others out."
The woman said Pollock told her if the collision didn't kill him, he hoped he'd be shot by officers and "take out" a few of them in the process.
Pollock was later found hiding in a shed near his home, drinking Jack Daniels and threatening both the woman and the deputies who had responded to the call, according to the complaint.

He also allegedly continued to be "combative, threatening and argumentative" even after being arrested and booked into the jail.
Pollock is currently in custody pending his next appearance at a Nov. 22 omnibus hearing. Judge Peter Irvine set his bail at $20,000 with conditions, or $100,000 without.
