A Detroit Lakes man has been charged in Becker County District Court on two felony counts of domestic assault, in relation to a Feb. 11 incident.
Justin Robert Borah, 25, of 29123 Tower Road, Detroit Lakes, is accused of assaulting his mother at her residence around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.
According to the criminal complaint, Borah allegedly got into an argument with his mother after she refused to loan him her car. He reportedly called her offensive names and swung a pair of overalls at her, striking her in the face with one of the fasteners and causing injury.
Borah also has prior convictions for domestic assault and violating a harassment restraining order, with both convictions occurring in Becker County in 2012.
He is currently in custody at the Becker County Jail, with bail set at $10,000 with conditions, or $25,000 without conditions.
