Ernest Olai Heden, 43, of 513 Davis Ave., Detroit Lakes has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fourth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
On Jan. 19, 2007, the car he was driving was stopped in Detroit Lakes and both his car and residence were researched after agents with the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force obtained search warrants, according to court records.
They found $100 cash, $40 of that drug "buy" money in his car, and found about half a gram of meth in his residence, along with packaging items and other drug-related items.
He pleaded guilty March 20 and was sentenced Thursday by District Judge Lisa Borgen to a stay of adjudication for five years. He was placed on supervised probation and fined $500 plus court fees. He must complete a chemical use assessment and successfully complete drug court.
