HAWLEY, Minn. - The driver of an SUV was seriously injured in a rollover accident reported at 6:24 a.m. today on Highway 10 near the Hawley Municipal Airport.
The Minnesota State Patrol briefly shut down eastbound Highway 10 so that Lifeflight helicopter could land and airlift the victim to a Fargo hospital, Sgt. Jesse Grabow said.
Troopers have responded to multiple reports of vehicles sliding into ditches or medians this morning on Highway 10 and Interstate 94, Grabow said. He urged drivers to slow down and allow more time for their morning commutes.
"They're very spotty," he said of the roads.
A dozen vehicles had hit the ditch since I-94 reopened from Moorhead to Alexandria on Monday afternoon, he said.
