A 43-year-old Duluth man is being held in the St. Louis County Jail accused of stabbing another man with a sword.
Police were called to the Duluth Detoxification Center, 1402 E. Superior St., when the victim walked in with a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to St. Luke's hospital for treatment of a serious injury, police said.
Officers found a blood trail in drifting snow that led them to a residence in the 1000 block of East Third Street. An investigation led to the arrest of one of the occupants, who is expected to be charged with first-degree assault.
The sword believed used in the stabbing was found inside the residence and collected as evidence.
