It's graduation time at area colleges
Vergas's Laymon to graduate at Mankato Saturday
MANKATO — Colton Laymon, Vergas, will be among the students to be awarded a total of 2,304 degrees at the end of the spring 2019 semester at Minnesota State University Mankato.
Laymon will receive his Master of Science degree in athletic training.
Approximately 1,700 students will participate in three graduation ceremonies on the Mankato campus this Saturday, May 11 in the Taylor Center's Bresnan Arena.
Live-streaming captioning services will be provided for each ceremony. Candidates for graduate degrees will graduate with the college of their affiliation.

M State GED graduation and awards celebration is May 16
DETROIT LAKES — Graduates of the Detroit Lakes Adult Basic Education GED program, their families and friends are invited to take part in a special celebration and awards ceremony on Thursday, May 16 at 2 p.m. in the conference center (Room C-101) at Minnesota State Community & Technical College, Detroit Lakes.
Graduates should arrive at 1:15 to receive their cap and gown for the ceremony, and participate in a quick rehearsal. Individual photos with the celebration cake, and the graduates in their caps and gowns, will take place at 1:45 p.m.
